Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Assess injuries and illnesses and administer basic emergency medical care. May transport injured or sick persons to medical facilities.

Take x-rays and CAT scans or administer nonradioactive materials into patient's bloodstream for diagnostic or research purposes. Includes radiologic technologists and technicians who specialize in other scanning modalities.

Install or repair cables or wires used in electrical power or distribution systems. May erect poles and light or heavy duty transmission towers.

Install or repair heating, central air conditioning, HVAC, or refrigeration systems, including oil burners, hot-air furnaces, and heating stoves.

Assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer nursing care, and advise patients on health maintenance, requiring licensing or registration.

Assemble, fit, fasten, and install parts of airplanes, space vehicles, or missiles, such as tails, wings, fuselage, bulkheads, stabilizers, landing gear, rigging and control equipment, or heating and ventilating systems.

Perform clinical duties such as preparing and sterilizing equipment, preparing patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and giving oral care instructions. May also handle scheduling, records, billing, and insurance coding.

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators. Excludes team or work leaders.

Perform administrative and selected clinical tasks under a physician’s direction. Duties may include scheduling, maintaining records, billing and coding, taking vital signs, preparing patients, drawing blood, and administering medications as instructed.

Assist physical therapists with treatments and procedures. Depending on state laws, may help develop treatment plans, perform routine functions, document patient progress, and adjust treatments within the therapist’s established plan. Formal training is generally required.

Install, inspect, test, adjust, or repair avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, navigation, and missile control systems in aircraft or space vehicles.

Administer oral hygiene care to patients. Assess patient oral hygiene problems or needs and maintain health records. Advise patients on oral health maintenance and disease prevention. May provide advanced care such as providing fluoride treatment or administering topical anesthesia.

Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, group homes, and similar institutions. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Licensing required.

Operate various power construction equipment—such as bulldozers, graders, loaders, and excavators—to excavate, move earth, grade surfaces, erect structures, or pour concrete. May also maintain and repair equipment.

Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases. May install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems. Includes sprinkler fitters.
